What Is DDR?

DDR is Dance Dance Revolution, a music video game sweeping the nation. The game has gained signifigant popularity with the younger aged crowd. From elementary schools to college events, kids love playing DDR. The game is played on a dance pad with four arrow panels: left, down, up, and right, plus the two diagional controller arrows. These panels are pressed using the players feet, in response to arrows that appear on the screen in front of the player. The arrows are sychronized to the general rhythm or beat of a chosen song, and success is dependent on the player's ability to time and position his or her steps accordingly. (This is the same game you've probably seen at your local arcade or movie theater, only on a larger screen for added fun!)

Our DJs setup the unit before the event and make sure that guests at the event get the opportunity to try the DDR. They keep cycling people so that everyone gets an opportunity to play and they explain, control, and show examples of the game play so that setup is at the right challenge level for each person. In addition to regular game play, guests can also challenge other guests.
